Wigan Athletic manager Paul Jewell has ruled out bringin Roy Carroll back to the JJB. Carroll who was released by United later last week has been rumored for a return back to Wigan but Jewell has denied this.
"Roy's wage demands would be way to high for us" said Jewell and isnsiting with that amount of money he will not be returning. He left for United in a £2.5m deal in July 2001, and Jewell said: "Roy Carroll is a very good goalkeeper."
Jewell also said "if he turned down a £20,000 a week deal at United its hardly likely he would want to come here now isit" After Wigans promotion to the Premierhsip they said they are looking for back up to John Filan, but insisting Carroll wont be returning.
