Valencia thrash Tarragona to go joint top |
|
Valencia moved up to second, and preserved their unbeaten run, with a 4-0 thrashing of newly-promoted Gimnastic Tarragona late yesterday. David Villa’s pass set up Fernando Morientes to score after 13 minutes before getting two second half goals himself.
Miguel Angel Angulo then celebrated his return to the Spanish squad with Valencia’s fourth, six minutes before time. Another good win for Valencia and Villa looks back on top form again, its going to be an exciting title race this year |

Valencia is starting to emerge as the successor to Barcelona, it looks like. The squad is young, and there are still some players that have not suited up yet. What I'm curious is what will become of Francesco Tavano once healthy. I think he's very useful and he would be another great attacking option.
Villa has always been on form IMO. I just think that its NOW that the team is starting to gel. Joaquin really impressed me as well. I think Los Ches may just be the new champs. |
