Hi guys im new here and i thought id ask you guys your thoughts on this.

I run a under 10s team, im FA qualified ETC. Anyways we played a game today and the ref made a few decisions that were dodgy, IE goal kicks that were given as corners to the home team, we were the away side. I put it down as a carp ref and was not to fussed, but at the end of the game a player of mine a foot away from their goal line got the ball and scored. As he got the ball and shoot-ed the ref blew for full time as the ball went in. The whistle did not stop blowing till the ball was at the back of the net . He said no goal full time, he blew just as he saw that we were going to score.

The refs in our games are refereed by members of the home team, parents etc. Can i have some views on what you guys think . I was not best pleased and i saw some very docile parents of mine get very angry .

Well by the sounds of it u had a biased refereee so u should argue not to let him referee ur game again. I do believe the onus is on the home team to arrange a proper registered match official to officiate their games so if they fail to do so then they forfeit the game and you win by default

In the Eastleigh mini league, parents can Ref a game. They are marked out of 10. I gave this guy a 1 and wrote a letter of complaint to the league board .

if your having so many problems with self appointed parent refs then just decline to play and win by default. As I said in a previous post, the onus is on the home club to arrange refs
