Well i thought about this and came to the conclusion that the 4 best countries in the world at producing players are arguably(this is my opinion) Argentina, Brazil, France and holland the first two countries are there because football is life and many of the children only have football so they develop there skills on the streets of rio and buenes aires. Its also a bit hard to ask 6-8 year olds to prcatise as long as some of these kids would. So that left me with france and holland and i thought about the players produced by each country. the like of Hnery, Cruyff, Platini and van basten just to name a few of many.but what tipped the scales for me that in the last few 4-5 years some of the great yong players coming out of holland now plying thier trade players liek robben, van perise and babel all good with the ball. players that will be and are world class.
I also chose the dutch system for emphasis on keeping football fun at an early age. |

Pats,
What you are looking for is the KNVB program. This was last years to give you a taste. KNVB COACHING SYMPOSIUM PROGRAM Introduction Soccer fans around the world know, and love, the Dutch style of play. Players like Johan Cruijff, and the great Dutch teams will always be remembered. In the 80's and 90's the Netherlands provided the soccer world with entertaining teams and players like Gullit, van Basten and Bergkamp. The most recent success in Dutch soccer was in 2004 when Holland reached the semifinals of the European Championship. Along with the on-field success of Dutch soccer is their world renowned KNVB coaching school. At its foundation the man who "invented" Total Soccer in the 70's, Rinus Michels. His ideas are the basis of this 30-hour Symposium. This official KNVB (Royal Netherlands Soccer Federation) Coaching Symposium will be held for the 5th time in the USA. The Symposium will be an exact replica of the Dutch National Youth Soccer coaching course. It will consist of 15 hours of practice sessions and 15 hours of theory sessions during a 3½ day sequence. Purpose of the Symposium This Symposium will offer the participants the elementary knowledge to coach and train youth soccer players and older players during games and practices. The Symposium has 4 main themes: 1. What is soccer? 2. Youth soccer players, who are they? 3. Coaching; How do you do that? 4. Learning to coach. Who can participate? This Symposium is especially developed for coaches who work with competitive youth soccer players U11 and up as well as high school coaches, college coaches and ODP coaches. Certificate Each participant will receive a certificate of participation similar to the Dutch Youth Soccer Coach diploma.
