Controversy in Canada
basically Charmaine Hooper, Sharolta Nonen and Christine Latham have all been suspended from the Candian National Team because they failed to play exhibition games against China in August. Lawsuit has been filed by the players who believe they are being punished for not moving to Vancouver and playing for the Vancouver Whitecaps. The owner of the Whitecaps is funding the residency. All a bit suspect if you ask me, looks like the players are getting a rough deal. These three players are some of the most experienced in the team. |

Agree with you there Smoggie there is something suspect about it. I think they've shot themselves in the foot suspending three experienced players just before qualifying for the w/c. I think without them they stand no chance.

Not to mention Karina Leblanc has recently had surgery on her knee
Wherever Hooper is there is always drama |

They are having fun in Canada ? I thought a player was only obliged to be called-up for official games recognised by FIFA and not the friendlies ?
