ok it is time for the big boys to enter the competition , this is where the youngsters get a chance to show the manager what they can do and try and impress them enough to warrant a promotion to the first team squad . Arsene Wenger has again rested nearly all of his senior squad and called upon his reserves for the trip to West Brom and below is the squad in full ...

Manual Almunia
Mart Poom
Philippe Senderos
Johan Djourou
Joe O’Cearuill
Matthew Connolly
Gael Clichy
Armand Traore
Mathieu Flamini
Alexandre Song
Denilson
Mark Randall
Jay Simpson
Theo Walcott
Emmanuel Adebayor
Jeremie Aliadiere

our new signing Denilson will hopefully get a chance to play and of course Theo Walcott will either start or be played at some point . So can we expect a good result for Arsenal or will West Brom get the better of these youngsters .

Team that started:
Almunia
Djourou
Senderos
Connolly (first team debut)
Clichy
Walcott
Song
Flamini
Denilson
Adebayour
Aliadiere

Aliadiere made it 1-0 with a pen, which is how it stands at half-time.

Adebayour went off injured, with Traore coming on and a bit of a re-shuffle was needed.

Final score - 2-0.
First game that Theo's played 90 minutes for us in the first team (if you can call this a first team).
