I live in the US and today ESPN posted that Materazzi is still looking for that handshake that is traditionally suppose to follow a worldwide apology. Materazzi has said his sorries publicly and now he believes Zidane needs to follow up and accept that apology.

I'm new here and all but man... Materazzi is just plain crazy. If indeed Materazzi talked about Zidane's sister during the match, I don't see why anyone should accept an apology. From the many clips I've seen of Materazzi as a player I can only conclude he is a very dirty player. I'm glad he has all the pride for his country but you still have to act as a world class futball player that he is.

The only thing I want to say to Materazzi is.... Take both your hands and start shaking it. That is the closest you will get to getting your handshake from Zidane.
