Just so everyone knows i am a
Liverpool fan & have been all my life, but this season so far is a disgrace if you ask me. Where are we 8th in the League? For a team the size of
Liverpool we shouldn't be down there, after beating Chelski 2-1 in The Community Shield and convincingly i thought this would be our year. I mean Zenden & Sissoko out classed Lampard, Ballack (ok he did go off early on) and Makelele that day, then we go to Sheffield Utd and drop 2 points on the opening day? To be honest the penalty we got wasn't a penalty so without that we deffienetly would of lost the game because they were no chances for a 100% guarentted goal. we have quality players going forward, Crouch, Kuyt, Bellamy, Fowler, Luis Garcia, Gerrard, Kewell (when he's fit). The team is packed with experience and medals so i want to know why is it we are so far off the pace this season?
For me Jose Reina has to be dropped, he just doesn't look like the calm cool keeper we had last season he's making stupid mistakes like alot of our keepers have done in the past(David James, Sander Westerveld, Jerzy Dudek) OK Dudek did more than make up for it in Istanbul, but Reina has really disappointed
Sissoko has to be left out aswell i can't remember a match i've watched n have not been frustrated by his touch, his passing, tackles or vision to look for a forward ball. He's clumsy more than anything.
Pennant!? I think this lad can be a half decent player one day, but Rafa has been moaning for over a year he hasn't got a right winger and now that he has he puts him on the bench
i mean why pay nearly £7,000,000 for a guy to fill a gap in your team n then leave him on the bench and still play Gerrard out of position?
Luis Garcia - Think this guy is amazing for what he has done for the team especially in the CL, but he isn't firing on all cylinders at all he isn't the same player i'm used to see playing the little flick to set some one up or the killer pass and i've heard rumours Benitez is selling him in January.
Fowler - GIVE HIM A GAME RAFA!!! He is the countries most natural finisher and even in his 30's is still as good as anyone at hitting the net.
Oh and finally i want to know why he doesn't play Crouch as often, ok he says its to rest him but we are in October u don't need to be resting players now, you should be picking the best 11 every game(injuries & bans aside) to get as many points early doors as you can n then rest players later in the season. Crouch started against Galatasaray and scored twice the next game he was on the bench, then Bordeaux he scored and the game next was on the bench again. Its just so frustrating seeing players in form and scoring being left out
