Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo was flying to Italy on Tuesday to begin talks about a new loan deal with AC Milan.
Crespo, who helped Argentina's bid to qualify for the World Cup after scoring twice in last week's 3-1 win against Brazil, is set to remain another year with the Italian giants. "The player (Crespo) is flying with me today (Tuesday) to Italy," Crespo's agent Fernando Hidalgo told PA International. "We are meeting Chelsea this week before the player signs the new contract with Milan. There are still some minor details to clarify with Chelsea but in theory everything has been agreed." The 29-year-old was an essential part of Milan's success last season which saw them reach the final of the Champions League and also challenge for the Serie A title. He scored a total of 18 goals for the Rossoneri in the 2004-05 campaign where ultimately they finished second in both competitions, losing out to Juventus in Serie A and Liverpool in Europe. Meanwhile Juan Sebastian Veron has revealed he only wants to play for one more season in Europe before returning to play in Argentina. The Blues midfielder joined Internazionale on a one-year loan deal last summer and is set to remain a further season at the San Siro. The 30-year-old , who sealed a £15million move to Chelsea from Manchester United in 2003, has a contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit until 2007. Inter have already expressed their wish to keep the player for several seasons but the former Lazio star just wants one more season before he heads back home. "Inter is the priority," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport."They have supported me at a difficult time in my career, but the fact is that I don't want to remain here until 2007." "In 2007 I would like to return to Argentina. We have to wait and see what Chelsea want because they own my sporting rights," he added. "There is a 50% chance that I will remain in Italy and a 50% chance that I will go abroad." |

Terrible decision by Chelsea, Hernan Crespo is a true beast. He is full of goals and suprises, how many of Chelsea's strikerss could score the goal he scored against Liverpool in the Champions League, his little stab shot. I think Ac are over the moon with this signing, with Sheva him and Inzaghi now, what a hard choice!
