I can see kieron Dyer being our number 1 forward this year...if he avoids INJURY then he could have a good year..I think the impact Shola's Injury has had will be lessened by Dyer's return..he complements martins quite well..as he likes to drop deep and pick up the ball..he can pick a pass quite well...split the two centre halves and set Oba on his way...

Ideal end of season for Newcastle united....

Premiership position.....6th

FA Cup....Quarter Finals(at least)...

League cup.....Semi-Final(at least)...

Uefa cup.....Final(at least) our performances in europe show we can handle the big continental teams..Boro got there last year..systematically executed by Sevilla..but we are better in europe than they are...i fancy the Toon to go all the way in Uefa cup!

We picked Glenn Roeder..instead of waiting for Martin O'Neill..Martins gone..now we have to deal with that choice Shepherd made..stick woth Roeder...at the very least give him until January!!!!!

Win UEFA cup 0R FA Cup..but finish outside top 8. We need a cup!! we're not expected to finish in top 8 this season anyway, I'd love to get a cup under our belt, we've waited long enough

Win UEFA or FA Cup. Been way too long since we won a trophy, about 38 years i think!

Hopefully we can get a point from the game against Celta going on now...

i like dyer as he is a good attacking midfielder and he has strength and pace and he is a good finisher of the ball so he is my best player for Newcastle and i think he should of been captain and i am a Liverpool fan giving Newcastle players credit but really he is amazing

i fink that the impact he made on the team in the carling cup against popmy was ace. he was lightning quick and showed he really can be worth how much money he is on. and to get a goal on his full comeback is great for the lad, hes going to be even beter soon
