Liverpool are a good side, so it'll be a tough tie. The F.A Cup will be a competition we must keep one eye on. Now that the Championship is slipping away, with our Champions League future touch & go.

We beat Man Utd and Chelsea on the way to winning the cup last year,so we are very much capable of beating the Gunners too,i'm just so happy we are at home too.

I agree Gaz, The home draw means alot. If it was at Arsenal they would have to be favourites.

Sissoko wont be back in time so maybe Mascherano will play Wink

One bad season won't be enough to sack him, just look what he's achieved already for us,he has the full backing from the board.

i just hope that Henry is now fully recovered , he may need a few more games to really get back to normal fitness ...but it is a big boost to us that he is once again in the team selection .

It should be a great game .....i hope we can beat Liverpool again .

DUDEK STARTS FOR REDS V Arsenal

Jerzy Dudek will keep goal for Liverpool as they start their defence of the FA Cup against Arsenal in today's Third Round clash at Anfield.
Pepe Reina drops to the bench to make way for Dudek; and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has rotated his goalkeepers as well, with Almunia replacing Lehmann.

Peter Crouch and Dirk Kuyt will continue in attack for the Reds, with Luis Garcia and Daniel Agger replacing Mark Gonzalez and Sami Hyypia.

Liverpool - Dudek, Finnan, Riise, Carragher, Agger, Gerrard, Alonso, Garcia, Pennant, Kuyt, Crouch. Subs - Reina, Hyypia, Gonzalez, Aurelio, Bellamy.

Im a bit surprised that Dudek is starting, I think this a an important game a he's not had much first team football this season. Im happy with the rest of the line-up though.

Very disappointing! Carragher is normally a no nonsense defender but for some reason the sheer presence of Henry made him want to play like Henry, he should have whacked it out!

Full marks to Arsenal, Three great goals and a solid defence, I dont even think almunia got his gloves dirty.

................................

strange time to use Dudek...but well, all the backline wasn't good enough today, even our Carra. we got 3 days to think about it.
we'll fight back!

I laughed when the Arsenal fans started singing ''Are you Tottenham in disguise''. Laughing

It was an ok game, but Liverpool were just simply bettered on the day.

Damn it! How many corners did we have 20? Just couldn't get that final ball in for the strikers even though I felt we dominated the game. Arsenal just hit us on the counter and Senderos must have headed every single cross away.

Dudek was off the line for the first goal. Finnan should have closed Rosicky on the second (or anyone of the five players around him) and as for the third, there was no way the defence could have coped with that pace.

Disappointed.
