Finally Van Marwijk is leaving BVB good riddance to the worst manager Dortmund has ever had!

I really hope Dortmund have learned from this lesson. Now that they have a little more money in the bank they should go all out and buy a world class coach. I maybe dreaming but I would love to see Otmar Hitzfeld back.

Let's hope and pray to God that Hitzfeld will return. Smile

I was pretty annoyed to hear that they are thinking of Arminia Bielefeld coach Thomas von Heesen for the role. Where is BVB's ambition we need world class not second class!

He was ok in his day but I dont think his past it now. Before he left Dortmund he was making poor decisions and doing just as bad as Van Marwijk.

What do you think about Jürgen Kohler taking over?

Never saw him as a trainer honestly. If I had to choose...With no doubt I'd pick Hitzfeld.

Thomas von Heesen is an outstanding coach. Dortmund could be more than happy to sign him. He's been very successful with a team that has almost no financial backing even for Bundesliga standards. Van Heesen lets his team play fast paced football, good movement of the ball, the fewer touches the better. If Dortmund signs him, they'll get back to top.

Hitzfeld is a dinosaur. Remember Jupp Heynckes. Legend too, but unsuccessful now. What Dortmund needs isn't blind signing of former stars, they need smart decisions. I don't think they'll be able to get Von Heesen though, at least not during the winter break.

Edit: Now, Jürgen Kohler is exactly the kind of coach you don't need. They not seriously considering him though.
