If I was to vote on my favourite team to win - I'm torn between Sweden and Finland Cool

But who I think will win is either USA or Germany so I'll vote later, after I make up my mind Wink

I voted USA, like in the four nations, for the same reasons! I can't really see a team beating them, Sweden or Germany may be close but USA would edge it every time IMO.

As for the groups USA to win theirs and Germany to win theirs.

USA to win the whole thing Wink

07/03 ireland mexico
09/03 mexico wales fly to tokyo
10/03 japan mexico fly to faro
12/03 portugal mexico
14/03 play off final fly to mexico
17/03 mexico japan

No problem with the flight connexion as well.

Theres a lot of games for Mexico if they were to do both, my guess they'll withdraw from the Algarve - not a big deal they are in group C afterall

now some of us might not know what is what Wink

FIFA Women's World Cup contenders Norway
will travel to next month's Algarve Cup
without midfielder Unni Lehn
after she was left out of an international squad
for the first time in eight years Shocked Sad

Norway coach Bjarne Berntsen has decided to give young players
including the uncapped forward Lene Mykjåland
a chance to ensure competition for places ahead of September's World Cup in China.

"This has been the plan all along," says Berntsen,
whose team meet Germany, Denmark and France in the group stage
from 7-11 March in Portugal.

However, the 29-year-old Lehn was disappointed.
"I am surprised," said the SK Trondheims/Ørn player.
"My form has been good in recent weeks."

===========================

How can one dump such a talented player out of their team?
I understand giving youngsters a chance is important
but experience is needed as well.
Unni Lehn has been in the Norway squad for ages, for a reason,
and she needs preparation for the World Cup too.
Or maybe he's not planning to take her to China either? Shocked
Weird decision...

===========================

SWEDEN's squad for Algarve:

Caroline Jönsson - Malmö FF DFF
Sofia Lundgren - AIK
Carola Söberg - Umeå IK

Defenders
Hanna Marklund - Sunnanå SK
Anna Paulson - Umeå IK
Charlotte Rohlin - Linköpings FC
Stina Segerström - KIF/Örebro DFF
Marlene Sjöberg - Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC
Sara Thunebro - Djurgården/Älvsjö
Karolina Westberg - Umeå IK

Midfielders
Frida Östberg - Linköpings FC
Nilla Fischer - Malmö FF DFF
Frida Nordin - Malmö FF DFF
Salina Olsson - Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC
Caroline Seger - Linköpings FC
Therese Sjögran - Malmö FF DFF

Forwards
Josefine Öqvist - Linköping FC
Maria Aronsson - Linköpings FC
Therese Lundin - Malmö FF DFF
Lotta Schelin - Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC
Victoria Svensson - Djurgården/Älvsjö

*breathe smog breathe*
Well there are still 5 LFC players in there, plus I figure it like this in me head: Larsson and Lindahl who are injured would get in there too if fit, so that would make 7, plus Karlsson = 8.... Laughing can't have them all in there for the Algarve the UIK/DIF players might get upset.

Chuffed for Charlotte Rohlin though, been great for LFC and deserves her call up - get her first cap too Cool
