Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey is holding out for an improved offer from Sunderland for striker Kenny Miller.
The Black Cats have already had two offers in the region of £1m for the 25-year-old - but Wolves want £2m.
Moxey told the Express and Star newspaper: "Our situation with Kenny is unchanged. We want him to stay.
"His 20 goals for us next season, and what they could mean to us in terms of promotion, are more valuable than the money Sunderland are offering."
