A - league - Round 19 - Game 3
Sydney Fc Vs New Zealand Knights
Aussie Stadium

Sydney FC 0
New Zealand Knights 1
Che Bunce 16'

In the upset of the round, the New Zealand Knights held on for a 1-0 win away to Sydney. In a game seen as Sydney's chance to all but cement there A-leagues play offs and second spot on the ladder, it only created more havoc in the middle of the table.

An early Che Bunce goal was enough for the struggling Knights to hold on for an all important morale boosting victory, and there second in row. In a match where Sydney dominated, they did not do enough.

The table is now open to 5 teams battling it out for 3 final spots, where 5 points separates second place Sydney Fc throught to 6th place Central Coast Mariners. With two rounds to go, we are in for a hot run home to end the Aleague home and away season.

CROWD : 16040

Fantastic win for the Knights. Has kept 2nd spot wide open for Adelaide, Us and possibly even QLD to move into 2nd.

Believe it or not, the Knights can avoid the wooden spoon still Neutral

Yeah he seems to respond pretty quickly. We have something like that on our forum, but there's barely any replies.

That's been one of there better attendances for the season.

I can't believe our highest attendance is bigger than Sydney's this year Shocked Cool We have a population of around 600k, they have 3.5 million.

Our top crowd is 20,980, there's about 20000.

Football is defo on the up Very Happy

Nice one, and so it should be although you Aussies seem to be good at most sports you turn your hand to.

moravcik, im not sure if you knew. (we) melbourne victory got 50 000 for the sydney clash a few weeks ago, 40 000 for the Sydney clash at the start of the season, and have been averaging around 30 000 all season.

Stay tuned for Melbourne victory's next game against queensland. hopefully ill be writing 30 000 in as the attendace. But 90 000 is excpected at the cricket just on the other side of the CBD, so 30 000 will be seen as a very good number.
