Capello sacking will cost Real Madrid £20M

Real Madrid will have to cough up £20 million in compensation if president Ramon Calderon decides to sack coach Fabio Capello.

DiarioSport says Capello is no longer untouchable for the new Real regime amid speculation directors have been left bemused by his team selection and disciplinary methods. The form of summer arrivals Emerson and Fabio Cannavaro, both on recommendation of Capello, has also left Real powerbrokers non-plussed.

Looming games against Real Betis and Zaragoza now have the making of must-win encounters for Capello, however it's reported that his contract includes a clause that states Real MUST pay out the remaining years of his three-season deal should he be axed.
