Watford 0-3 Liverpool

Craig Bellamy, Peter Crouch and Dirk Kuyt all started in a 3-4-3 formation and after 37 minutes Crouch was through on goal and scuffed his shot, luckily Steve Finnan was on hand to steer the ball across the face of goal to Bellamy for a tap in 1-0 to the reds.

A few minutes later Reina took a long goal kick Bellamy won the header and continued his run, Kuyt headed it back and he was through on goal, Foster saved the shot but Crouch was on hand to head in yet another tap in 2-0 Liverpool led at half time.

Watford had very few clear chances throughout the whole game but at 3-0 down after Crouch tapped in another Bellamy cross Jordan Stewart hit a long shot that hit Reina's goal frame and bounced away.

Not a classic game, but a comfortable away win and 3 more points to gain vital ground on 2nd place Chelsea, who if they lose today will be on 5 points infront with the big match at Anfield next week.

i thought watford's style was awful. basically a scrap then hoof it up the wings for the wingers to get forward. we actually played a good passing game, must have been 200 + passes all game. we were patient.

crouch worked hard even getting back into midfield to help retrieve the ball. midfield worked hard all game with the midfield opening up watford several times.

bellamy a constant threat all game with quick feet and pace.

overall a solid performance and pepe reina has a clean sheet, fully deserved after his performance of confidence

As big a fan as I am of Liverpool, they had no excuse what so ever to lose to Watford...if that happened they would be getting kicked from all directions from the fans and media...

Saturday will be a cracker...can't wait!
