Espanyol have beaten Barca 3 - 1 this morning! Shocked

Luis Garcia, Raul Tamudo and Rufete scored for Espanyol while Javier Saviola scored for Barca.

Gives Sevilla a chance to go 5 clear at the top.

In the other game Valencia thumped Levante 3 - 1.

Barça still had a lot of missing people: Deco, Eto'o, Messi, Zambrotta... thats 4 starters.
Btw they played a really horrible game, ronaldinho missing all about a faul kick on the 1st half, Xavi & Iniesta very bad, Gudjohnsen as always, horrible, and the only one who did something was Saviola joining the 2nd half.
I really hope at least Eto'o to be back soon or we can miss the title, luckly madrid is even worse but sevilla worries me.

Yes, Barça were horrible. They only had 3 or 4 good chances. And Espanyol played very well, they could have scored 2 more goals. Last games Barça aren't playing well and I think that Sevilla will beat Mallorca and then will be 5 points, still that Barça have to play one game against Betis. I hope that with Eto'o the team will improve.

Quote:
Athletic Bilbao 0 - 1 Villarreal

Celta Vigo 1 - 3 Atletico Madrid

Gimnastic Tarragona 1 - 3 Getafe

Racing Santander 1 - 0 Real Sociedad

Real Madrid 1 - 0 Real Zaragoza

Recreativo Huelva 1 - 1 Deportivo La Coruna

Osasuna 5 - 1 Real Betis

Sevilla 1 - 2 Real Mallorca

Sevilla missed the chance to go 5 clear at the top after throwing away a 1 - 0 lead.

Madrid have jumped Zaragoza into 4th place.

Gimnastic remain bolted to the bottom of the table.

The title race keeps getting tighter every week! Valencia & Atletico are both right back in it now. I really couldnt guess whos going to win it now, any of the top 6 have a good chance

Worse, it was a well deserved win.
The score could have been more heavy with Espanyol hitting the bar and Valdez making some fine saves.
Marquez and Puyol were not in the game. Cant trust Marquez as a CB. Should put there thuram, and move Marquez to DMF.
Actually, I am happy we lost because I think it is a blessing in disguise. It is time to bring on changes. You would be surprised this coming from me, but it is time to drop Ronaldinho for a couple games(like wenger did to Henry; look at the results now).
Also I was gutted, because Rijkaard didnt start with Saviola. I couldnt forgive the fact, he didnt line him up from the start after his good performance during the last cup's game(scoring all barcelona's goals).

I am beginning to wonder if Barcelona was an one man team- Eto`o. Of course with the support of messi.

Barcelona will win the trophy again because the other teams seem like they can't stand the pressure. Sevilla had an easy match at home and they got beaten. Real Madrid won this week but also have this problem lately. And Barcelona is not even close to be the same team of 2006 but they have experience and their players know very well eachother, and that's an advantage.

Did you see what Rijkaard made to the bench?? Shocked

And what Capello did to a couple of supporters?? Shocked

Bilbao VS Valencia?? What are you talking about?

Yeah Afrinux, Rijkaard seemed so angry. Anyway, those were no glasses, was any kind of plastic benches, lol.

And Capello did this ugly thing with their hand (don't know the name of it in english), you know, lifting the middle finger Laughing

I would have done the same. These people were insulting him during the whole match.
He apologized after though.

Oh 9nufc9, you're right Bilbao VS Villarreal game was boring, except for the last 2 minutes with the penalty and everything Smile
