Repka signs new Hammers contract |
|
West Ham have confirmed that defender Tomas Repka has signed a new two-year contract with the club.
The 31-year-old Czech international turned down offers from other clubs, including Greek side Panathinaikos and German side Bayer Leverkusen Repka, who joined the Hammers from Fiorentina for £5m in 2001, was set to leave, despite having a year left on his contract. But he changed his mind after the club's promotion to the Premiership. Repka has made more than 150 appearances for the Hammers. But he has had disciplinary problems - and has picked up 49 yellow cards and four reds in his time at Upton Park. |
