A monumental confidence boosting away victory against an extremely strong Tottenham side, who admittedly were superior for large spells, an injury riddled Toon side showed character to come from behind twice and grab the win, Obafemi with a stunning finish, and Nicky Butt showing calmness under pressure with a cool winning goal. Paul Huntington scored earlier on to level the game

A good win. 29 points now 3 points off 7 place.

Martins for goal of the year so far. Butt had the last laugh after getting slapped.

Well done Newcastle on a deserved win . The future is looking really good for us with Martins showing he has the pedigree to become a top goal scorer the youngsters doing really well and with injured players and new signings to come and make us stronger. I honestly think we will be either top 4 next season or very close to Champions League football. If Bolton can be up there we can be up there and we showed at Bolton we are more than capabl;e of mixing it with them. Martins goal was wonderful sometimes I wonder if bevlee is a Newcastle fan, its just the rubbish he/she comes, up with sometimes. We got a bit of luck but you need it and on the balance of play it was justice we won there first goal was clearly offside and chimbonda should have been sent off. I have never celebrate the 2 second half goals with as much passion/delight as I did yesterday it feels great to do the double over Tottenham we are only 3 points adrift of them now and with 2 winnable home league games next for us we should be up there very soon. Top 6 is possible this year.

No, I hate Newcastle, thats why I have a season ticket and go to several away matches a year. I have every replica shirt in the last two seasons and believe it or not, I am intitled to my opinion, Spurs had more chances and shots and could have murdered us. We showed grit and spirit and for that we did deserve to win, but if we had of played like Spurs and been beaten you would have been moaning on.
