Hyypia to Spurs, anyone heard about this!!?

picked up from bigsoccercom: My brother knows Tainio quite well, and apparently Tainio told him not only that he is definitely staying in Spurs (Jol rates him, and doesn't want to sell, nor does Teemu want to go), but also that we are very close to signing Sami Hyypiä from Liverpool. Recently Benitez has favoured Agger over Hyypiä, and Sami would welcome regular playing time, especially if playing alongside fellow Finn Tainio. Benitez also reckons that Sami's "sell-by date" is approaching and thus wants to cash in while it is still possible. ------------- I hope this is true. Hyypia would be a great for us!

Haven't heard about this myself and wouldn't mind the prospect as he could prove to become a great cover-up CB for us when Ledley and Daws are out...........so how much are we paying mate??

Havent heard about this but id take him as backup for Ledders and Daws for sure.

He's not the quickest and he's certainly past his best but I'd still take him, assuming the price is right. There aren't many defenders around with more EPL experience and I think he could do a good job as back-up for King and Dawson. We still have Gardner and Rocha who can play at CB so I don't think that signing Hyypia is essential, but I wouldn't say no.

Doesn't look like he's coming then.
