Olivier Dacourt has been in contact with Bolton Wanderers, according to sources within the player's camp.
Peter Harrison, one of the player's representatives, confirmed that they have met with Sam Allardyce and told Sky Sports: "I have had a meeting with Sam about Olivier. Sam is keen and Bolton are an attractive option." The AS Roma midfielder is courted by clubs in the Premiership and La Liga, but Bolton are apparently leading the race for his signature. "There are a few other clubs in England who are keen, but Bolton are the only club we have talked to at this moment," added Harrison. "There is also interest from Spain which could be an option for Olivier, but we will just have to see how things develop." The French ace is thought to be an ideal signing for Allardyce who is desperate to sign a midfielder after unsuccessful approaches for Dietmar Hamann and Laurent Robert. |
