Galway United manager Tony Cousins has completed the signing of Dutch central defender Regillio Nooitmeer.
Nooitmeer, 23, previously played with German side VFR Aalen, FC Luzern of Swizerland and FC Dordrecht in his homeland.
He impressed Cousins during a recent trial at Terryland Park and a solid performance in Galway’s first pre-season friendly, against a Kildare Oscar Traynor XI at the weekend, was enough to secure a contract.
Cousins said: "Nooitmeer was very impressive on trial over the last two weeks, he’s composed on the ball, strong in the air and is sure to be a great addition to the squad for the coming season.”
