Pokerkings01 if we give away a foul then the ref will give you a free kick. time wating is taking ages for goal kicks and running the ball into the corner which none of that happened.

all you do is go on and on about the referee and linesman being wrong
do you even know the rules of football? do you not think maybe you are wrong? they hoof the ball to drogba for the 1st goal? it was a superb through ball from ballack to drogba. how blind can you be? adebayor was "onside by two yards"? do you have any concept of measurements? as i said, you are unbelievable. i wonder if you watch the same games as i do |

Of course I will go on about the linesman and the Ref! We were robbed!!!
Yes I know the rules of football. No, I don't think I'm wrong, do you? 1. Was Drogba offside? 2. Did Adebayor, our chance of equalising get sent off for doing nothing? 3. Was Adebayor onside when he went one on one with Cech? to be then ruled offside? I think the question is what game do you watch? |

You're right I think... But they are paid WELL enough to stop and think for a moment and thats one of the reason we call them professionals. |

What a quality thread and quality game up to a point.
Before the match I said i said i dont care who wins as long as they slaughter each other doing it and it almost came true! 2. Theo "more pressure than Rooney" Walcott scored a superb goal past one of the best keepers in the world Pokerkings seriously what? Why even make a comment like that? U are possibly the most biased person on here ur comments are ridiculously one sided. Do you try and [beep!] off as many people in one post as possible? I agree that the terry incident could have been given as a foul or not it all comes down to the referee on the day to make the snap decision. Fair dues to the Arsenal physio showed fantastic compassion to another human being as well as the Arsenal players/fans as well, again up to a point. |

Well Gary Lewin will know Terry very well. Since he's the England physio too.

Apparently he was the nearest to the incident, as he'd just been sorting out Almunia, then saw that urgent treatment was required. No decent physio would say "It's not my team". |

Exactly Twmcat.
Everyone feared the worst once they saw Terry hit the ground & his eyes slope to one side of his head. Almunia claimed on Arsenal.com today that he feared Terry was dead! So there was huge concern from all players, officials & staff. Lewin ran faster than Henry has all season, just to give him some treatment. I think those guys don't get enough credit for what they do either. |

Drogba was offside!! The shad of the pitch could tell you that. The officals admitted they sent off the wrong player but the F.A have still charged Adebayor with failing to leave the pitch. So wrong........again Steely. And if you can't remember parts of the game how can you be trusted to comment on the above!?!? I can't be bothered anymore because it's finished and Chelsea won. Well done Chelsea. |

the offside/onside decision on Drogba , the analysis on Sky Sports with all their fancy technology showed the shading of the pitch and the line .. indicating that the back foot of Senderos was level with the nose/head/chest or front/back foot of Drogba , therefore as Drogba was attacking the current rules state that if he is level he is onside .
Another one involving Drogba and Senderos a few minutes later was given offside and was virtually identical ....thats football though . |

Yup, well said again Conner. For me, Drogba was just offside. Had that been Baptista at the other end, I'd be screaming for days if it was given offside.
For me, the linesman got it right and because it was so tight I'll actually praise him. Well done man! |

i just remembered from The Sun on monday , the reporter mentioned that there was just one thing that cost us the final ......Philippe Senderos . He said that he simple cannot handle speedy forwards and has been a liability for the last few seasons . He also cannot understand why Arsene Wenger keeps playing him ...it was evident against Chelsea last season when Drogba was up against Senderos ...again he was exposed as not good enough . He said if Arsene Wenger had played William Gallas in the final then he had little doubt that Arsenal would have won .
I remember Gallas had been pleading with Wenger to play him in the final as it would give him a chance to get his form and fitness back ...i dont think he would have let that cross land at Drogba`s feet for the equaliser . |

Gallas? Who cares? He didn't play a part in reaching the Carling Cup final, so he didn't deserve to start and I'm glad Wenger ignored his cries for a start.
But for me, Johan Djourou is a better Defender than Swiss Tony and should have started. Look at my original post in this thread, I picked the team that Wenger picked with the exception of Djourou instead of Senderos. Here is where I feel Wenger made a mistake. Djourou is faster, better under pressure, a better decision maker, better with his feet, good distribution, excellent at marshalling and a great tackler. He's decent in the air, but this is the only part of the game that Senderos beats him in. Senderos is good in the air and when playing a team who hoof long balls into the box, Senderos can be brilliant. But put some pressure on the lad and he will struggle and mistakes will be made. Sure everytime someone beats him for pace (which is often) he always does something daft to get booked, sent off or give away a stupid freekick or penalty. Look how he dived in front of the PSV man to handball the ball away from him last week. As I said, Djourou should have started. Wenger should have listened to me. |
