2010 / 2011 Kit Rumours.

Postby Tom_Nufc » Tue Jan 19, 2010 4:59 pm

I expect we'll start to get rumours of new kits for the 10/11 season, so use this thread to post them up.

Newcastle have announced that puma will be the new make of the kits from the 2010 season, for a 2 year deal.

I wonder how they'll incorporate

with those colors. I can see it on the white one, but might look a bit off with the others.

Newcastle Official Announcment...

NEWCASTLE United Football Club can confirm that Northern Rock plc, the new bank formed following the successful restructure of the Northern Rock business on 1 January 2010, is to become the main sponsor of Newcastle United Football Club.

The new contract will commence from the start of the 2010/11 football season. It has a maximum sponsorship potential of £10 million, phased over four years. The contract will expire at the end of the 2013/14 season, subject to agreed reviews.

This follows a long-standing relationship between Northern Rock and Newcastle United. The existing contract expires at the end of the current season.

Derek Llambias, Managing Director of Newcastle United said: "We are naturally absolutely delighted to have signed a new deal with Northern Rock plc and to have their logo adorn one of the most famous and iconic jerseys in world football from the start of the 2010-11 season.

"This alliance underpins the desire of two of the regions most well known names to continue to work together over the next four years.

"Sponsorship of Newcastle United is a proven commercial investment that not only generates significant media value for Northern Rock plc but also enables the bank to connect to customers at a local and national level.

"Newcastle United's aim is to return to the Premier League next season and we believe that collaboration will help both companies achieve our respective goals in the local, national and international marketplace"

Gary Hoffman, Chief Executive, said: "I am pleased to confirm that the new bank has become main sponsor of Newcastle United. There has been a long-standing relationship between Northern Rock and the club, which dates back to 2004, and it represents an important community link.

"The new contract will help keep the Northern Rock brand in the public eye and reinforce our strong roots in the North East region, a community we are immensely proud to support."

And a Birmingham Announcement...

Birmingham City have today completed a club record signing off the pitch in an exclusive five year kit deal with Xtep International Holdings Ltd.

This sponsorship deal will see the sportswear manufacturer produce the club's playing and training kit from the start of the 2010/11 season.

Birmingham City FC's Vice Chairman, Peter Pannu added: "This is a fantastic deal for the football club.

"Not only is it a superb deal commercially, being the biggest sponsorship the club has acquired, but also on a brand level as it promotes the club internationally.

"Xtep are big players in the sportswear market in China and this partnership will expand the Birmingham City FC brand in the Far East."

Birmingham City FC will be added to a portfolio which includes Disney Sport (Shanghai) and the Koling brand.

The record deal will replace the club's three year sponsorship with UMBRO which will conclude at the end of the current season.

It is the club's intention that Blues supporters will have a direct input into the final selection of the design of the new playing kit.

Further details of the design and launch of the new 2010/11 kit will be announced in due course.

That looks like a wee puma logo on the shoulder there ianf.

And if that is to be the new puma template, i wouldn't mind our kit looking similar to that. As they are who will be making Newcastle's kits next season.

I love retro kits, that Arsenal one is going to look amazing. I wish Leeds sacked Macron and went to someone who could make decent kits.
