Barca v Real is one of the biggest games of the season not just in Spain but in the World.Barca have had a bad few weeks and now they are out of the Champions League, Claiming La Liga is a must. Real Will be without Reyes and Beckham, which doesn't like good for Real with the team lacking strength Madrid are now fighting to save a season which from the start looked ambitious to say the least.

It's on saturday, at 22.00 spanish time (9 pm british time). I think Barcelona are the favs for this match, but it will depend on how many players we'll be missing for this match. We know Beckham and Reyes will not play, but players like Cannavaro, Raul or Van Nistelrooy are not in their 100% physically. They've just recovered from several injuries.

Barcelona can't also count either on Giuly and Zambrotta (who were sent off in the last match). Let's see how the match goes...

Edit - The word is "Derby" not Darby.

The title of this thread is misleading.
First of all, it is not a derby because Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are not in the same town. Second, it is well know as El Clásico. Please, Mod can you edit the title for us. Smile

In barcelona side, Ronaldinho is a doubt from what I have read. I hope he will recover before the game, because we need R.E.M in the game.

Good news are Roberto is fit to play. My little boy Messi will own him and Cannavaro again

Guily being out is a blessing of disguise. Hopefully saviola will have a nod.

Well let me say "El Derby" is well said too. In Spain "derby" is not only for matches between two teams of the same city, but also between two big teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona. It's been called "derby" rather than "clasico" during 100 years.

Another thing, Roberto Carlos and Cannavaro are injured, so Messi won't own anyone Wink He'll probably dive like a girl as he always does. Beckham, Reyes, Cicinho... all injured. Real can't win this match Evil or Very Mad

does it really matter what its called?! all that matters is that we should have a good game on our hands.

Ive changed the title anyway, I think most people know it as El Clasico but anyway about the game...
I think Barca winn win, Real are in a mess and although Barca arent much better recently, Im still expecting them to win with Eto'o & Messi now back

Here they call it Superclássico, but anyway Raul lives in Spain, Afrinux dont, Raul has to know more about it. I dont think Barça is that favourite, both teams arent playing good and are coming from injury problems. Cannavaro's injury isnt a loss anyway, for what he has been playing its good news hes out Laughing

Tottally agree right there. Madrid is out of order and unorganized. Barca sees this and will use it to their advantage.

You're right Laughing
The only problem is that Raul Bravo will have to play, and he's even worse than Cannavaro Confused Well at least he's the only fast defender we have (I'm assuming Ramos is playing in the right side), so maybe he'll be over Eto'o.

Well from what I have read so far, I think I should not get jumpy.
And Raul, thanks for correcting me, I thought derby was the same everywhere.
Our complete squad list is: Valdés, Jorquera, Puyol, Xavi, Belletti, Saviola, Oleguer, Iniesta, Ronaldinho, Messi, Gudjohnsen, Márquez, Edmílson, Sylvinho, Ezquerro, Eto'o, Thuram and Deco.
I hope Rijkaard will start with

----------- Valdés

Oleguer ------ Thuram ------- Puyol ------ Sylvinho

------------------ Marquez

----------xavi -------------------------- Deco -----

Messi ---------------------------------------------- Ronnie
--------------------- Etoo

With Thuram there, Nistelroy would not have a chance to score an easy goal ( only thing he is good at ).
I hate to see sylvinhoa at the left back, but since Zambrotta and Gio are not in the list , we have no choice.

I predict Barcelone 2 - 0 Real Madrid, the 2 teams wants to be forgiven by their supporters for their elimination in CL, and the classico come at the right moment.

Barcelone plays at home, it's a good occasion to give pleasure to their supporters and be "forgiven", that's give them big motivation to win it. Smile
