If Wenger sends someone out on loan, they usually end up at another club. Correct me if I'm wrong, but nobody's been on loan then become a regular first teamer.

yeah i do know that but maybe Wenger thinks he's got something special he's been at the club a while and when he does make an appearance he generally does well ,he's just come bk from injury which put him out for most of last season and i just reckon that if he does well at celtic then he has a future at Arsenal.

I hope you're right. He's an excellent player when injuries - or lack of them - allow. It would really give him confidence if he could help Celtic have a good run in the Champs league.

Wenger seems to rate him. I, personally, don't. He's 22 now, in my eyes he is no longer a youngster and he is just too injury prone. I can't see him making it with us. He might be good in Scotland or France or something.

Don't be so quick to disregard Scotland or France.
Celtic, where he's going, were the first UK European Cup winners, so have a tradition.
France have won a World Cup recently, and French club sides are not doing too badly, eg Lyon, with Wiltord.

Not young at 22 , are you saying he is old or past it. I think he can have a future at Arsenal , he just needs a decent run in the first team. I do agree he is a bit injury prone though , maybe Wenger is seeing what he can do at Celtic before deciding to either keep him or sell him.

He is young at 22, but he is no longer a 'promising prospect', in my opinion. By this age you've really got to have done something, and all he has done is score in the reserves and a few Carling Cup games. Most of the best youngsters in the world show their talent at an earlier age. He's been unlucky with injuries, but I think that just supports my view that the Premiership is too physical for him.

Then again, maybe not. Pires was a late bloomer, as well as many others. If he can stay injury free at Celtic, it would be good for him to show what he can do. I hope he proves me wrong.

i think that is true , if he can avoid injury we will see whether he can be a top player. I remember one match he came on for Arsenal and scored a great goal and was very quick . He should get a few chances in Scotland as only Celtic and Rangers are any good .

Aliadiere will he break into arsenal's first team?
