It is the hardest thing to retain the title, but they may not have to win as many games as last season, if United and Arsenal throw points away.

It is all a matter of wait and see. Any team can have a bad run of form. Man U and Arsenal will have to win their games against Chelsea in my oppinion. I think Chelsea are very good at winning games against lower opposition, unlike United and Arsenal who both lost vital points.

I hope it is an open race though, to make for an exciting season.

I agree they had an exceptional season last time but what makes you think they can't better that this year?

-They will have a bigger and better squad with more cover for key players
-They will have dropped duds like johnson, kezman, tiago
-The players who were new to the prem last year will have adjusted by now and know what to expect
-Mourinho is the ultimate student of the game and will have learnt a lot about the prem too
-They will have another season of experience of playing together and getting to know each other
-Key players like Makalele, Lampard, Cech, Terry will only get better

The only team that has really stepped up this off season and improved their squad enough to make a difference to the over all scheme of things is Liverpool.

But hey, thats just my opinion.

i just think it will be a lot harder for Chelsea this season as both Arsene Wenger and Alex Ferguson will be determined to wrench the title away from Chelsea , also all the other teams will be pumped up to try and beat Chelsea . It is a different ball game now , Chelsea will be expected to win every game and this will get to the players , then there is Europe and a semi final will be the minimum Chelsea fans will want from their team . They may have a big squad full of quality players but pressure can affect even the best players . It remains to be seen whether they can play better this season but it is going to be a lot closer this time that is my opinion anyway.

I hate to say this and in the back of my head I know Im gonna h8 myself for saying it at sum point but Unt prob will be a tiny threat this season as they have a point to prove over their ability and the whole American invasion thing. I dont think Chelsea will be leaving ne1 for dust this season just coz.... Arsenal R THE BEST!!! ( oh and they are too big for their boots now )
