According to the Daily Mirror, Spurs have made a £5m bid for unsettled Real Madrid star Guti.

28 year old Guti would partner Carrick in the Midfield offering a more attacking role. Can Spurs pull off this deal? Is it a Steal?

That surprised me a little!

They have impressed me by buying English young talent in recent times!

Would he really move to a mid table side?

The chance of first team football may be the only factor but surely there are other clubs out there who are in Europe who would like to sign him.

I am impressed however as Spurs have always been ambitious when approaching players in the past. They have always set their targets high. I hope for their sake that they land a big name player.

That would be the Boro that just saw Zenden walk out the door to join the moribund Liverpool. There is a club going places Very Happy. To be fair Guti would be a great aquisition for either Boro or Spuz.

Spuz could do a swap for Guti with Noe Pamarot, otherwse known as Toblerone Foot. Stranger things have happened down the Lane.

He would be a great singing but i too remember the big names we have been linked with in the past that were mentioned above so i wont be getting my hopes up.

It would help if we still had a sporting director, Jol aint no Sam Allardyce when it comes to luring the big names to smaller clubs.
