Southend welcome back defender Adam Barrett (hernia operation) and midfielder Alan McCormack (ban) for the Essex derby against Colchester.
McCormack's return could push Mark Gower back to the left wing, with Richie Foran dropping to the bench.

Colchester winger Kevin McLeod returns to the squad following a hernia operation but could struggle to start.

Karl Duguid's knee is holding up so he will face Kevin Maher, who accused him of getting him sent off in November.

I think the game kicks off in just under an hour. Can someone confirm this please?

Should be a pretty open game. Colchester are outside chances for the playoffs while Southend are in the relegation zone.

I'm going to go for an upset and pick a 2 - 1 win for Southend.

Colchester 1 up after 38 seconds Laughing

Absolutely shocking defence by Sodje but a nice finish given the reaction time.

Finished 3-0 Colchester. Another hat trick from on fire ex royal Jamie Cureton! I think it is fairly clar to see who has the bragging rights down Essex way this season

Colchester were fantastic today and have gone above all expectaions and play some fantastic stuff at times

They could still be an outside bet for a playoff place

I dont reckon they'll make to play-offs when they came to Hillsborough about a month ago it was an easy comfortable win they lack in exsperience imo could do with a couple of has beens in summer taking example from Hull.
