Cole to Stay?

Reports from Ashley Cole's agent Jonathan Barnett have stated that Arsenal and Cole are very close to agreeing a contract extension of 1 year. Cole would more than double his salary, earning 70k p/w compared to only 30k p/w which he is currently on.

This is a dramatic U-Turn as it appeared there was no way back for Cole. This will be good news for all Gooner fans after selling Captain Viera earlier this week to Juventus.

I don't want him to stay really. Maybe we can just give him the contract now and see if we sort things out with him. If not, we can sell him next summer rather than lose him for free.

mmm...i hope this does not turn out to be another Vierra like situation . I really hope Cole is fully committed to Arsenal again and plays like we know he can . With only a one year extension though i am not so sure , i suppose we shall see .

They have been the people in the news this week I think, but I agree, there are alot of Arsenal topics.
