Nobody really did anything to win, it was a sh!t match. I knew Chelsea would sneak it if we didn't score early.

Ronaldo was nowhere, he doesn't deserve his weeks wages to be fair.

Well done Chelsea.

1 word - ROBBED!

Clearly Giggs shot crossed the line.

It was not foul as the ref neither blew the whistle or signalled for play on.

Very Happy

The ball did cross the line but Giggs's momentum pushed Cech over the line which means it shouldnt have been a goal anyway. Tell that to the fans in the United pub I was watching the match in though Very Happy

Giggs' movement was from his shot... it was not a foul.

It doesn't matter where the momentum was from, he still went through Cech when he had the ball in his hands. Giggs should have put it away in the first place and there'd be no questions asked.

Chelsea deserved it. Despite the game being awful and the football rubbish, Drogba kept going and worked that goal beautifully with Lampard. To have that determination, skill and stamina is great. That's what Champions are made of and Drogba was the difference. He didn't have many chances at all either, whereas Rooney had plenty and Giggs had that great chance, but they bottled it.

Yeah, Drogba's goal was quite brilliant when you look at it.

A very mediocre affair but to be perfectly honest as disappointing as it was, i did not expect any different today. Apart from a resurgent 15-20 minutes mid way through the Second Half, the game was poor. Both teams operating with 5 in midfield and just continued to cancel each other out from the start. It was one of the cagiest opening halves that i have ever seen. Both teams just seemed to frantically want to keep hold of the ball and no-one, quite understandably, wanted to be that person who made a costly mistake. I think the introduction of Arjen Robben helped Chelsea's cause magnificently. He looked in such great form, twisting and turning and in my opinion doing the job that everyone was expecting Ronaldo do do today. Rooney impressed me for the majority, always unsettling defenders with the ball, as shown from when he robbed Essien and could have gone on and score after a great run but some good keeping from Cech prevented that. I was a bit skeptical hearing that Steve Bennett was in charge but thought he did relatively well. Mikel wasn't without mistakes today but i am a fan of his.

True, Giggs f*cked up. He has looked past it for a while now. Even though he is a legend I think his time has past and he should retire.

Regarding the decision, I still think we were robbed and no1 is going to convince me otherwise so don't even bother.

Fully agree with J-Axe.

Furthermore, I think Scholes did a great game. He gave lots of good balls squandered by Rooney. Ronaldo, was nowhere. I can not believe Ferreira, Chelsea weakest link , managed to hold him up.

Marcofo, you should be really desperated to think that Giggs goal stands. If you watch the replay carefully, Cech made the save inches from the goal line. And Giggs pushed him afterwards.
As Forever stated above, Giggs should have put the ball out of Cech reach.
Drogba's goal was class. Nice work with Lampard.

I've already heard plenty of points of views on it and nothing can explain it. People would just be repeating what I've already heard.

i think Mark Lawrenson summed up that game brilliantly when said "this is a great advertisment for the cricket season". What a shocking game of football that was!

From the word go there was no intention from any team to press the opposition into making a mistake. It was like someone had put a mirror in the middle of the pitch as the two teams cancelled each other out with identical formations. Johaldo must of thought that these two teams were quite clearly playing for penalties as soon as the 1st minute. So if he thinks Liverpool are defnsive, lol, blimey, the last time we were in a cup final there were 6 goals to entertain the crowd. [beep!] all in this one.

No creativity was on show at all, apart from Rooney. Most threatening player on the pitch i thought. He had a good game, his finishing was awfull though, but was always a threat.

Both teams just made mistake after mistake. From Scholes to Carrick, to Wright-Phillips to Essien, constant mistakes with little to know pressure.

Great goal in the end decided it, which was completly out of character with the game. Great 1-2 between the Drog and Lamps, and a nice finiash. Maybe VDS should have een quicker off his line, but o well.

I also think United can feel a little hard done by with the Giggs effort that crossed the line. It could well have been a foul but was not given, therfore United have obviously been denided a fair goal. Giggs made a meal of it, and should have smashed it home, but went over the line, and the ref missed that. Maybe if he had seen it go over though he might well have given a free kick.

At the end, i dont think Chelsea deserved it, neither do i think United did. I think penalties would have been a fairer way to have decided that pointless affair.
