Ballack is on a par with Darren Fletcher.

I think this one is going to be a close one. I can see them doing an Arsenal and snatching an undeserved victory. It's their speciality.

Will be a great occasion nonetheless.

you see, for some reason i have this power to turn all threads about ballack. Lol, but really this is not meant to be a ballack thread. (there is already one, for now)

Forev's post was serious. "Underserved" in your opinion and most Man Utd fans too. To me, we have fought hard all year and whoever wins the match, will be deserved, Man U or Chelsea.

And with Vidic out, and ferdy a little worry there (but i think hes ok) this is where i dont wanna hear one thing. And not saying that i have, but on a football talk show one of the guys brought it up. And the other guy (unbiased) said that we cant say that - And the guy who originally said it then said something like "oh no no no, i didnt mean to be making excused, you look at what Chelsea went through around the christmas period".

Which cannot be forgotten, essien and ferreira ffs.

Liverpool made fools of us in that game.

But will be a huge game.

Gary Neville's FA Cup final dream is over after undergoing surgery on his ankle.

The England international has not featured for Manchester United since damaging his ankle against Bolton in the middle of March.

He had been hopeful of being fit in time for Saturday's FA Cup final with Chelsea, but reported discomfort when stepping up his training schedule last week.

The club gave Neville the chance to prove his fitness at the start of the week but, after reporting discomfort in the joint, the club opted to send him for surgery.

"Gary Neville has undergone an exploratory operation on his right ankle and he will miss the FA Cup final," read a statement on the club's official website.

Neville was on the Old Trafford pitch to lift the Premiership trophy on Saturday, but it remains to be seen if he makes the trip to Wembley with his team-mates.

I'll be cheering Chelsea on also but I think United will win this game, That means they'll do the double Confused

Chelsea havnt won for a while whilst Uniteds confidence will be high after just winning the league which will give United a slight advantage in my eyes. I don't know what to make of Chelsea's injury situation though, is Jose playing mind games again? There's a chance that Chelsea will have an almost fully fit squad, Jose is keeping his cards close to his chest I feel. If he's telling the truth it will give United an even better chance of winning the FA cup.

i will not mind who wins the FA Cup as both results will have me smiling ...a Chelsea win will stop the double for Man Utd while a Man Utd win will mean the only Chelsea silverware this season would have been The Carling Cup .

And yes i do know it would be one trophy more than Arsenal won ... Wink

I hope for some red card action and fighting like at the carling cup final to spice the event. I don't want a dull very tactical closed game

This is just to close to call for me. Both United and Chelsea have a great chance today and personally as a neutral i just hope that the typical "Big game syndrome" doesn't take a big hold today... Making the first cup final at Wembley a very boring, stale affair. Of course both teams will be cagey but i hope for a good game as it gets further in.
