James Grady scored in the final minute of the final game to hand Gretna an amazing victory that clinched promotion and consigned Ross County to the drop.

Personally, i would have rather seen St.Johnstone promoted. For starters who wants their team to have to make even more journeys to Fir Park next season? The place is a dive. Secondly their attendances are going to be a complete and utter joke, think about ICT vs Gretna (vice versa) on a Saturday let alone a Monday night fixture. Finally do you think that Gretna will go out and really take their squad to another level like they have had to do in previous seasons to clinch promotion? I think that this is as far as they will go and will slowly but surely plummet back down the divisions again.

I've heard some stories about Gretna match-fixing to get up there. 3 promotions in 3 years doesn't sound right to me. Anyone else heard these?

Yes I've heard the rumours also.

Gretna are bad. They play god-awful football and will be relegated by March. As for their fans, they are pish. They couldn't even bring 100 fans on their 4 visits to Viccy Park. Saint Johnstone would be much better becuase they are a good side. I know Gretna will be relegated next season, and already they have got rid of the mean who practically won them the league, Alan Main. So Gretna will slide back down, and will never return to the SPL. I of all people on this forum know them the best (probably) and they are poor, very poor away from home. So, Brooksy, remember money can't win you everything. Last season they went out early in every cup competition. Their worst reult was losing 3-2 to us, that took the wind out of their sails.

It might surprise a few people on here but Gretna have been 'adopted' by a significant number of Hearts fans following our 'family friendly' Cup final against them and it wouldn't surprise me if, particularly when they play at Easter Road, their fanbase increases substantially.

Similarly, if Hearts are away at Aberdeen or Inverness, just as an example, it would be easier to go and support Gretna at Fir Park.

I, for one, hope they stay up but fear they may simply be too small a club to live in the SPL.

Great news, they will go right back down, looking forward to beating them home and away.

From what i saw up at victoria park on the last game of the season they were a bunch of past-it players that could barely break down the worst team in the division.
