Since i've been gone for 3 weeks (reserve duty) here's an update on what's happening on the pitches of Israel:

Beitar Jerusalem are now 4 points away from securing the league title, there are 8 pts ahead of Maccabi Tel-Aviv with 4 games to play.
Haifa is 5th, goal difference from 4th, 3 points from 3rd (Hapoel Tel-Aviv) which is a UEFA cup spot. It's looking good for Haifa since 2nd and 3rd still have to play each other and they both have a game against Beitar.

Tommorow (Tuesday) is the cup's 1/4 final, Haifa heads to Ramat-Gan to play the local team from the 3rd division (which they just won). in the 1st round (round of 32) we kicked Beitar on Penalties (I still think it's a lousy way to decide a match).

Other than that, Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3/12) kicked their goal keeper out after he spoke against their poor managment and Maccabi Tel-Aviv (2/12) are facing 2-3 points reduction for a double contract with a few players, both are good news for Beitar and Haifa fans.

So to sum it all up, good 3 weeks for Haifa Smile

I spoke too soon Sad

We lost the 1/4 final 1-0 on over-time. We actually lost to a team from the 3rd division...
To our defense I must say that the pitch was so bad that even cows would have been ashamed to eat from it, lot's of holes and sandy areas but it's still no reason to lose like this.

On the upside, it seems that maccabi Tel-Aviv is about to lose 4 pts which puts us only 1 point away from the UEFA cup spot with 4 games to play.

Do someone know how Derek Boateng is doing? I've heard little and they say that he has done a great season and rumours say that Newcastle United are after him, because he's good and 'cheap' for a english club.

I miss him, he used to play at AIK and one of the best players I've seen in my life.
