I think that had to be the most UNWANTED English win in the history of sport.

Laughing

It's amazing how many people didn't want the rs to win. My guess is probably because of the cheating that went on in Istanbul. -shakes head & tuts-

Liverpool only played with one foraward aswell. I dont know how people think Liverpool were unlucky. Apart from Gerrads chance they didnt create anything.

Nesta was man of the match. He's the best defender in the world at the moment.

I can't actually remember much of what happened during the match lol,but fair play to Milan, they changed their tactics and used them very well, our big players never turned up which was very annoying, but ah well you can't win them all can you,at least we actually made the final and had the chance to lift the trophy once again, something Billy and Johaldo will never experience so they have to take their frustration out on us Rolling Eyes

Let's see if I understand it.
Is "INVIDIA" what you feel when you see Real Madrid has won 9 times this trophy? If it's this, then yeah, I know what you mean, but no, I don't feel like that.

Not really, when Crouch came in Kuyt stayed on the pitch. However, Ancelotti let Gilardino in for Inzaghi.

A lesson or two in forum etequites is what you need my lad[/color].

And secondly, True Liverpool supporters were in greece wether they had tickets or not. I know if it was Everton that were there I would also be there ticket or not!!!!

Now as you say:- lets get back on topic... Cool

Yes, you're quite correct, I shoulda been in Athens but I wasnt. Why? Simple answer is money, I dont have a spare £500 to fly out there, as much as I wanted to. Sometimes real life hits lad & things are beyond what you can do. I do not have £500, its that simple.

I love the way so many Evertonians are happy we lost. It shows how shallow they really are & their team offers them zero in return so the easy option is to laugh when Liverpool lose. Its quite sad really. Fancy being so occupied with a team other than the one you support.

i didn't actually feel too sad when we lost. we've proven again we're a force and just reaching another final is a great achievement.

i've just remembered that milan should not of even been in the competition though with the match fixing penalty. lucky grandads!

LMAO Billy boy,if you're happy day in day out worrying about how our team is doing then fair enough that's up to you,it just goes to show that your team is going nowhere and never will really, keep laughing all you want, enjoy it all you want, have a party and invite all your mates and really enjoy it,but at the end of the day no matter what season it is,your beloved team will never be able to touch us and money is not the reason for this before you say it son,and you know this too that's why you constantly focus on our team because it eases the pain and suffering that you're going through...

So do us a favour lad and go put the video of the FA Cup from 1995 on and enjoy the good old days and leave us to pull further away from you, like i said if you want to carry on pulling us down then fair enough if it eases the pain then carry on my friend,we were beaten by a very good Milan team in the biggest club cup final in the world,i would rather suffer this pain i'm going through than to never ever experience it in my whole lifetime like yourself Wink

Yes but Crouch only came on when Liverpool were loosing. Milan didnt need to put any more strikers on the pitch. Do you think Rafa would have put Crouch & Kuyt on at the same time if Liverpool were 2 up? NO!

It really makes you wonder where these Evertonians get the cheek to laugh at something like this when they have never even been close to a european cup final Confused

As painful as defeat was, at least we get ourselves into these positions time and again. I don't feel too much jealousy for any Everton/Man Utd/Chelsea etc fans who decide to support the 'other side' because while you may be cheering, really, what does it mean to you? If a final is contested between two teams I don't support, I just hope for a good game and that best best team wins. It seems there are many people on this board who feel this way, but for those of you who choose to rub defeat in other peoples faces when it's not your team, I hope you get the same treatment from others, though it will not be from me. Although to be fair, people like Bluenose need to cling onto all the success they can find from other sources...

LMFAO talk about contradiction... Laughing

Contradiction? This would imply that I am a: supporting another team specifically against yours or 2) rubbing a defeat in your face. General banter and pee-take anyone can handle, hence me saying you need to cling onto any success you get. And to think I felt for you when Collina inexplicibly disallowed Ferguson's goal against Villareal in C/L qualifying in '06...

Kaka was involved in both goals. Fouled for the free kick, and set up the winning goal. We all knew that Liverpool were going to give him special attention after the Man Utd games, and it was obvious that he wasn't going to have as much freedom. Yet he still provided the key assists. I liken his peformance to Maradona's in the 1986 world cup final when he had a relatively quiet game being stifled for most of it, yet still conjured the magic to set up the winner. That's what great players do.

do you mean the game where Maradona scored 2? If so, i do not think you can in any way compare the two performances. Very true he was involved in both goals, but come on. The first goal, a clumsy challenge by Alonso. It wasnt as if He did a through ball or cross for the goal. That goal was so so lucky, and the assit was Pirlo's. And the 2nd goal. Hardly the hardest of things to pass 5 metres in a straight line with no challenge on you. Im only being this harsh on him, cos the best player in the world did little to warrant that tag on such a big stage IMO. What he did was not in any way magic! Any idiot can get fouled.

Kaka was not given special attention either, so dont use that excuse, i think we gave the whole AC team equal attention. I think the plan was obviously to try to stop the source to Kaka, so he would obviously be less involved, and it worked for most of the game. We didnt have a man marker on him. And when he did get the ball, he was hastled, and didnt produce much. He did do one piece of class skill though, the Maradona turn, was fantastic!

Kaka was wrongly flagged offside when clean through, and Kuyt's goal was offside. You had the luck and still didn't win.

The two key moments in the match were the first goal just before half time and Cheating Gerrard's one on one miss.

OK, kaka was wrongfully offside, but how often do ofsides happen every game. Its hardly having the luck is it? He still had a hell of a lot to do. You cant really say much about that cos that happens every game on so many occasions. He might have scored, he might have [beep!] it up, we will never know. Reina might have even tackled him, hoofed the ball up front and we might have scored?

Yep Kuyts goal was offside, but a goal that late is going to do f all at the end of the day. We scored a goal that was offside when the game was all over, no lucj there! Mialn had the luck, that first goal changed things. It was a hand ball and a deflected goal. Yer your right, we had so much luck.
