Gerrard V Gattuso whos better?

both awsome players, for me gerrard is more of a complete footballer, should be a good battle though. I can see crouch scoring or winning a pen early. If we can get an early goal we could probably defend it.

For me Gerrard has fallen off in the last season.

So i would have to say Gattuso... I love the way he plays, he takes no prisoners hehee

At United I'd rather have Gattuso.

Gattuso's job is exactly that, destroy the opponent's attacking moves and give the ball to someone who gives it the proper treatment (Kaká, Seedorf or Pirlo). He doesnt need to dribble half of the other team and score goals, he does his job better than Gerrard does his one

Again, he doesnt need to do those kind of things, those are Kaká's, Seedorf's and Pirlo's job, and they do it. Can you even begin to imagine Gerrard outplaying and neutralising C.Ronaldo??

Ah yes but you would only get Gerrad scoring them types of goals every 10 matches or so. You get 100% from Gattuso every game. Yeah Gerrad can do everything a midfielder is supposed to but he only dose it when it suits him. Gattuso dose what ever he can when his team needs him.

gerrard can do all the things gattuso can do plus a whole lot more, plus he's quicker and stronger. Liverpool physically should be able to do a job on milan.

Gerrard for my money is, as people in this thread have already said, the more "complete footballer". In terms of ability to distribute, create attacking moves and score goals. However Gattuso is a player i much admire. He plays with such determination and passion, passion that albeit sometimes spills over the edge into swearing and brawling etc. And like the job Gattuso does. Doesn't often give a second to opposition midfielders on the ball, constantly closing down and breaking down the play.

I think Gerrard is much better

Gerrard is better all round, but I'd prefer Gattuso in his own position.

It depends what job you want done. Gattuso has his position and he owns it. What is Gerrards position? I'd like to see him in a top top team.

i reckon he could easily. Iv seen games when they have been against each other where Gerrard has run the whole length of the pitch to tackle him and done exactly that. I bet if you asked Gerrard to man mark him, he would do a very good job, as good as Gattuso would.
