Marcus Hahnemann has undergone surgery to repair broken bones in his hand.
Hahnemann was injured in a challenge with Blackburn's Shabani Nonda in the build-up to Rovers' first goal; breaking three bones in the process. Physio Jon Fearn told readingfc.co.uk, "Marcus had an operation on Wednesday, with two plates and16 screws inserted into his hand. "It's quite a nasty fracture. One of the bones is in five pieces but we're still aiming for a return in pre-season." Defender Aaron Brown has endured a torrid time since breaking his ankle at Bromley in pre-season, and sadly he has experienced a further setback. Jon said, "Aaron had a procedure on his ankle last week, and unfortunately we found further damage. "He'll be on crutches for six weeks, and it will extend his recovery period by two or three months. "Unfortunately he's looking at August to September." |
