what do you think of our newest recruit? Personally I'm very happy we have got him, he's an exciting prospect for the future. It is obvious that defence is a key area we need to focus on next season. Chimbonda, King, Dawson and Bale will now probably make up our defensive line.

We must finish 4th next season though, and I would have preferred a bit more experience in that position as it might take the Welsh youngster some time to settle into premiership life. Maybe like a Heinze. But Bale also brings a quality free kick to the Spurs attack so I'm hoping him to be a huge success over the next few years.

For me personally, it's all about the top four next season.

To tell you the truth ive never watched him play so dont know what to expect, ive been watching a lot of youtube clips of him lately tho and he looks class at freekicks.

From what I've seen of him, he is a top quality player and looks to have the ability to possibly become the best left back in the country - maybe in the world. No one can deny his free kick abilities and he appears to have all the attributes needed to be a good left back. Plus, have you seen him bomb down the left wing?!

His signing has made my summer already, believe me! (one over the Arsenal)

Burden of being Welsh

Possibly a great signing, our left side of defense has been left wanting for a few seasons of late....hopefully this'll be the fix needed. And being so young, he really can be moulded by Jol into a quality defender, with the likes of King, Daws and Chimbonda around him to learn from.
I don't particularly like slagging our own kind in the blue & white, but whenever Lee turned out for us he stuck out as not being good enough....okay okay I know people go on about PSV and his Champs League experience, but he couldn't handle the Premiership...Atouba didn't cut the grade and Assou-Ekotto just made me nervous.
Let's hope this is the defensive stability we have been yearning for to move the next step up!

Now Atouba was a player that made me nervous any time he touched the ball in our own half, anyone remember him knocking it around an oncoming striker and hoping hed be the first to get to it afterwards?? Fecking nightmare that guy.

Haha! I remember that twit. Me and my dad used to effing hate the bloke. Seriously, whenever he got injured, i used to cheer as if we'd scored!

Thats a gd sign in him not being the prettiest of fellas, all the quality players are ugly or u cant stand to look at them, just look at ronaldinho.
