Celtic have confirmed the signing of Chris Killen on a free transfer.

As revealed by skysports.com Killen has inked a three-year deal at Parkhead after seeing out his contract at Hibernian.

Killen left Hibs at the end of the season after turning down a new deal at Easter Road.

Cardiff had hoped to sign Killen after holding talks with the player earlier this week, but Celtic have hijacked their move to lure him to Glasgow.

Killen is Celtic's third signing of the summer and he will team up with former Hibs team-mate Scott Brown at Parkhead.

Havnt seen much of him this season but reviews seem positive until he got the injury. What you think of him mr-austin (if you can be level headed about the matter it would be much appreciated)?

I dont think either player was brought in with Europe in mind.....

With Beattie, Miller, Zurawski poteinally leaving this summer, McDonald and Killen willl mostly be used as backup strikers unless they can show that extra bit of quality and desire to be able to cut it playing for Celtic's first team week in, week out.
