I really hope they don't start aluko in front of Lianne again? Lianne is nearly at 40 goals this season Aluko has not reached double figure yet...

I bet they do start with her though Sad

Maybe if she doesn't always get to start, it will motivate her to practice putting the ball in the net.

There's only gonna be one change Thursady night and that's for Smith. It's now between Aluko and Sanderson for that one spot. I'm praying she goes for Lianne , her goal record speaks for itself this season.

Same, honestly Aluko does not bring as much as Lianne in term of all around play so it's a mystery to me why she is chosen. Actually it's not its because she is faster. Twisted Evil Or maybe Lianne does not defend enough Question

I think they will pick that team :

Chamberlain
Scott White Phillip Stoney
Asante Williams Scott
Carney Aluko Yankey

personally I would get this one

Chamberlain
Scott Stoney Phillip Unitt
Asante Scott
Williams
Carney Sanderson Yankey

Thiw ay you can use Lianne strentghin front instaed of relying on pace exclusively to get behind the opposition defense.

It'll be interesting to see how they cope without Chapman and Smith. One of em has always been there with Williams.

Team selected is close to shlj's choice, apart from White for Unitt, and Westwood for Jill Scott.

I'm sure we're all happy with Hope's choice to replace Lianne with Eni at HT Sad
Johnno on for Philip too, although they mentioned a possible knock.

Pretty disapointing.

All credit to the Czech's though, they had a great game plan and England were pressured out of everything.

Felt sorry for Lianne, she didn't get her chance tonight but her time will come.

Why was she singled out though? Why not one of the players who wasn't getting the ball through to the striker(s)?

Yeah, I understand your point the midfield were finding it difficult although I don't think upfront many runs or great positions were being made hence why the ball was regularly passed back. On the other hand, I think the midfield found it hard to get their head up and see the pass because before they could do that the ball was gone!

I suppose Hope thought that as the Czech's got more tired Eni with fresh legs could run at them with her pace.

0-0 was fair in the end.

Yes - it was fair enough - neither team deserved to win.
