There were some Madrid shouting "Eto'o cabron saluda al campeon" (Eto'o cabron greet the champion). All the time complaining when Eto'o said it about Madrid and now they say it. Hypocrites. Now we will see if they do what Eto'o did: apologize.

Eto'o (a player) insulted Real Madrid (a team)

Madridistas (supporters) insulted Eto'o (a player)

Screw him. If you think supporters are gonna apologize you're crazy. I didn't see any cule apologizing when they threw a pig head to Figo in the Nou Camp.

that was disgusting. how could anyone do that to my favourite player!

i suppose they were very unhappy that we had just taken the best player in the world off of them though.

what do you think of the new real bwin shirts?

man i wish i lived in madrid some times. like yesteray!!! what was it like raul? were you watching it at home, at the bernabeu or at a bar or pub. well if you're old enough. how old are you anyway?

i'm going to the bernabeu next year, it's gonna be immense!

Hehe, yeah I'm 19. I watched it at a pub (would have loved to go to the bernabeu but the tickets were all sold and you had to pay 600 euros if you wanted to buy one ilegaly). But the atmosphere in this pub was amazing, went there with my friends and we had an awesome day (especially since we were down until the 70th minute). Then we got the victory and went to Cibeles (the fountain where Real Madrid celebrates their tittles). The atmosphere was simply great, but there was so many people you could hardly move or breathe. I really loved watching Raúl putting the scarf and flag on the top of the fountain after 3 seasons without a tittle Very Happy

About the new shirt... well, it's not my fav but it's a bit better than this year's one, don't you think so? I really hope you have fun in Bernabeu next year, you know, if you need something just pm me.
Let's hope you can enjoy such an exciting game like yesterday's and not one of these crappy ones Real has been used to give us in the last years (actually, until February 2007).

so have you been to watch madrid play? do you leave near the stadium? what's madrid like anyway? is it an amazing city?

so i'm guessing Raul is your favourite player then? he's one of mine, man i love that guy! he is Mr Real Madrid. i can't believe some people of this forum are doubting his quality now he's getting on a bit. he had a great season! and he had to play out of position!

oh and i don't like the new shirt that much, it isn't bad. i loved last years one though. i actually thought it was the best football shirt i've ever seen in my life. i really love last seasons shirt so much. i also liked the one with the little black slit on the neck from a few years ago too.

i've just realised you supoort Liverpool as well. you're just like me!

Congrats to Real Madrid. All you needed to win La Liga was to sign the right persons, and you finally done it (Cannavaro, Emerson, Capello Wink). Now you shall send Fabio back please

no, we'll keep him thank you very much.

the bad thing is, capello doesn't like to stay in the same place for too long so even if he does stay at madrid next season he won't be around for very long. he may not even stay another season.

From the Madrid fans i have seen on different forums i got the general impression that Emerson has not been too popular in his first season in Spain. Most apparently see him as someone who sneaked in as part of the Cannavaro deal and is not needed.

CONGLATULATIONS TO REAL MADRID!!! :

It's not my favourite team but (honestly, this come from a Madrid citicen) I didn't want Barcelona to win Twisted Evil .

I think Real Madrid recovered this season the passion to fight and they left that "If we dont fight enough on the pitch doesn't matter. We still are the galacticos" thing.

I feel so happy too because the team of my heart, my beloved Villarreal finished 5 ,and with UEFA cup clasification!!!! Very Happy

yeah because it means we have two quality defensive midfielders in diarra and emerson, which means capello often plays with a very defensive style midfield and just 1 striker. but emerson is very good and i like him. it wasn't his best season though.

Emerson was terrible at the beginning of the season, but has been a very important piece in the last 10-15 matches. Now I want him to stay. I don't like Cannavaro much though, he hasn't shown the same leven he showed in Juventus or Italy (some people say it's not the same to play with 4 defenders than with 5), but he's been a little better during the last games as well.

@sticky tissue, I don't live near Bernabeu but Madrid is definitely the best city in Europe in terms of public transportation, so I can get there in 40 minutes by subway (metro). And my opinion about the city will obviously be biased, but I just love it and tourists normally do as well. The night atmosphere is just amazing, great food, nice transportation, lots of cultural places and of course, our Bernabeu Razz

Shame we don't have something like "You'll never walk alone" for the fans to sing, lol.

it's funny how so many world class defenders from italy have really failed in spain. cannavaro, thuram, zambrotta, and walter samuel at madrid a couple seasons ago have all flopped. i remember when i heard that we were getting samuel i was over the moon, i thought, finally we're getting top class defender instead of just spending our money on forwards and attacking midfielders. but he had a terrible season and was sold. the same thing happened with canavarro, i was over the moon when i heard he was going to be a real madrid player, but he's had a very poor season by his standards.

yeah emerson was good in latter part of the season. did you read his interview on the real website? he said wherever he has been he's been an important player but at real madrid he was struggling and wasn't important in the first team. he said he wasn't happy about that and would work hard to improve and make himself an important part of the team. well actually that was as he'd started to play well, so he basically just kept playing like that until the end of the season and did a very good job.

what about diarra? a bit of a rip off but has been important.

oh about the defender thing, we will have metzelder for next season but will he just become another player to add to the list of good defenders that underachieve in spain? i hope not!

so who do you think were real madrid's top 5 players last season?

i would say:-

beckham
van naslehair
sergio ramos
raul
cassilas

those 5 were so important to us last season.

by the way, what do you think of the real madrid website? i personally don't think much of it, i think it's too hard to find what you're looking for on there, not enough information about transfer fees, statistics like player appearances, goals, assists etc and a lot of things don't always work, like image links. you would think the biggest team of any sport in the world would have a slightly better site.

The most probable is that Capello doesn't continue in Real Madrid. The new coach will be Schuster.

There was a survey in Marca about the most valuable players of Real Madrid. You had to rate the players from 1(worst) to 5(best). There were just 6 players who got a 5:

- Casillas
- Sergio Ramos
- Miguel Torres
- David Beckham
- Raúl
- Van Nistelrooy

really. that's surprising. torres didn't really play much. he only played in about half the games last season. in fact it was less than that. he was good for someone so young playing his first season in the real madrid first team though. good player for the future, next sergio ramos?

what about 4's and 3's? did anyone get a 1?

so what do you think about the real website?

oh and what about schuster taking over if capello leaves?

Schuster is a good manager, but he has a big mouth, that's why I don't like him. He's like Mourinho in certain way (less polemic though).

Robinho, Higuaín and Guti got a 4, and Cassano got a 1 Laughing

And about the real madrid website, I don't know, it works fine with me and I find whatever I look for. However I prefer Marca website, since you need to pay to watch a lot of stuff on realmadrid.com

the links never work with me and i think the lay out of the site isn't great.

what's the marca website anyway?

do you think schuster could handle real? we had sacked 7 managers in 3 seasons before capello tamed the beast. even capello nearly got the axe though.

I'd keep Capello but that decision is not up to me unfortunately. I think Schuster may handle Real Madrid, it's only that I don't like his character. Besides, he played for Barcelona and Atleti (and also Real Madrid), so I don't think it's the best option.

About Marca, is the most sold newspaper in Spain. Try www.marca.com but I don't know if there's an english version.

How could players like Beckham, Miguel Torres & Raul be mentioned as Madrids most important players and Robinho is nowhere. On numerous occasions I've watched them this season and he has scored so many crucial goal when Madrid looked dead & buried.
