Wezemaal stands no chanse if Umeå get their play going, but thats far from sure that they will so Wezemaal do have a chance although not at all a big one.

From my conversation with the OL coach, it will not be easy at all for the Gunners.
They have a full international team, they train 5 times a week as semi-professional and the club is well structured, the play atatcking football with a passing game.
Depending on the injuries I would say 55/45 for Arsenal.

If you speak French , you can check here what he says about Arsenal, if you don't I will translate it this week-end.

But need to win at home - can't afford a score-draw.

That game was a big one and I think we will struggle on Sunday.
It was at the top in terms of skills, physical intensity, commitment.
OL are playing for the first time in the competition but they have international players all over the pitch.
Player by player

Emma : A few good saves but most of OL shot were not on target, dealt well with crosses and corner.
Alex : could not attack as much as usual but pace was vital as opposing winger was well fast.
Faye : important last ditch tackle when needed lead the backline by example.
Anita : good and confident on the ball on the ball when needed in dangerous situation never panicking
Mary : OL had targetted her obvioulsy they ran a lot of their play to her side, she was against a fast winger.
Katie : she was not allowed to enjoy her regular passing distribution , excellent physical impact winnng loads of 50/50 challenges and winning ball back
Jayne : a good chance lot of run at the heart of the physical battle in the middle third.
Kelly : classy display , holding the ball, passing vision, a brilliant shot from 35 yards and runs down the wing that unstelled the opposition. And the inevitable booking for beng frustrated and fouling an opponent.
Karen : classy display had all the tricks and tried to beat the defender constantly and also being involved in the attacking build up as much as possible.
Rachel : big game, she roasted the defender time and time again, won her constest agisnt the right back by KO
Lianne : worked vey hard for theam, trying to cerate openings

Julie for Lianne : came in and unsettled the defence, got fouled for a good free-kick near the end of the game

You're supporting your French team then?

Rossiyanka 0-0 Frankfurt was other result.

And shlj - don't you mean we'll struggle on Wednesday?
Or do you know something I don't know? Confused

it is really a 50/50 situation any away goal will force us to score two and scoring one has been proved very hard to do.

No, i don't support but it's not a bad result because it's a draw with no goals, so if the Ladies of Lyon scored one goal away, Arsenal Ladies have to score 2 goals. Wink

Yes - I just wondered if you were supporting your fellow countrywomen Wink

Personally, I hope Arsenal get a couple of early goals to soothe my nerves.

I think OL will have the same gameplan as in Lyon. Pressurise iup fornt to prevent Arsenal from doing their passing game. Especially as Borehamwood is a small pitch that favors defensive football.
What they did is simple : they had someone marking Katie as soon as she was receiving the bal and turning plus the wingers marking the full back in a 4-3-3 formation. it will be very strong density in midfield plus double match up on the wing.

I assume it's away goals counting double - but what if it's, say 1-1 after 90 minutes. Is that it, or will extra time be played?

1-1 2-2 3-3 Lyon would go through.
