There is something I really do not understand about those group games is that they play 3 in 6 days, which is an unbearable strain on players body especially as they are not professional. I read recently some reports that say that you need at least 3 days between games fro the body to rest properly as tiredness kicks in 2 days after a game.

They probably get to pay special rates in a hotel if they stay for a week (for visiting teams). Very Happy

And just to remind / inform the ones who are going to Saturday's game, it will kick off at 12 midday and be played at St Albans - not Borehamwood.

Directions here.

I'm driving down with our official forum AFLC photographer Ron, and expect to pick up shlj at the railway station, and also hoping Conn will get to the game.

So, those that know who we are, and haven't yet said hello - please do so at that game. I know that some of you know who we are, even if you like to hide your identities. Laughing

We're all harmless - and if Conn makes it - we'll all have a bodyguard Wink

First official Arsenal home game of the season and it is a UEFA Cup one.
You just wonder who planned the PL games Laughing
Anyway I am very curious to see who will be on the bench today, if julie has come down from Scotland, if Faye is fit again as she has not been on the team sheet yet this season etc...

http://www.Arsenal.com/matchreport.asp?thisNav=fixtures&fxid=331649

Apparently Kelly has a minor groin complaint.
The team could to be this one then

Byrne
Scott -Grant - White (Asante) - Phillip
Carney - Ludlow - Chapman - Yankey
Sanderson - Fleeting

Subs : Spencer Tracy Champ Minnaar Flaherty Asante Davison

Or if they go for full rotation as the big games are saturday and tuesday

Bryne
Scott Tracy White Champ
Carney Flaherty Ludlow Yankey
Sanderson Davison

So the line-up was predictable :

Byrne-Scott Grant Asante Phillip - Chapman Ludlow - Carney Sanderson Yankey - Fleeting

Subs : Spencer Tracy White Flaherty Smith Davison Wicks , in the stand Minnaar I don't know where Champ was did not see her. All the acadamey player were there, I am now the proud owner of an autographed program with siganture from Lauren Walker and Faye Marsh
Very Happy

Faye was still recovering from the Wambach elbow but it will be a matter of game before she gets her place back in the starting 11 because she is a strong leader and performer. Funnily enough when Tracy came in Ciara moved in midfield rathe than Anita. Maybe it is an indication as Faye plays right center back and Tracy slotted there as well to partner Anita.
To be fair on actual form should someone make way for Faye, I believe there is a marginal difference with Ciara performing as good as last year.

If Faye performs like she did in the w/c she'll deserve that place. It's been sooooo long since Tracy has played I can't remember where she plays along the back line.

Not sure Emma suits the whole yellow outfit though Wink

Alma managed two shots on target. They were not a bad side, I think they would a give a game to most english premier league team as they tried to play football.
