The first really big game of the season will kick off sunday evening.

These two teams, along with Man U, will likely battle it out for the domestic honours this season in England.

Should be a great match, two great teams going at it without the nastiness and ill-feeling that peppers an Arsenal Man U match. Just football!

So discuss team news, predictions, the inevitable mind games between managers, and eventually the result here.

I beleive the spoils could well be shared in this match!

Score draw for me!

These games never normally live up to the Bill - But i look forward to that changing come Sunday!

Anything is possible but away at the Bridge - draw or a Chelsea win for me - cannot see Chelsea getting beaten!

I put 1-1 into my Golden Goal predictions and i still think its a good prediction, Lampard and Henry to score.

Chelsea has no equal in the Premiership. My predictions 3-1 for Chelsea.
P.S. My favorite Premiership Club was Arsenal last year, but this year Chelsea. To fully enjoy Football, roll with the Best.

Hopefully we'll see a goal early in this one so the game will open up. Otherwise, both sides will take the usual posture in these big matches and play not to lose rather than to win. Obviously I hope the Gunners prevail, but I see nothing more than a 1-1 draw. Neutral

oranjepalooza, dont worry. Chelsea will come in force. Without Vieira, who will stop Duff, Robben and Drogba?

We saw what Wigan did last weekend, right? Chelsea won't have luck in every game, that's for sure. So I think Arsenal is going to win, may be 1:0. Henry is in his best shape and is really focused on scoring goals (as we also saw in France - Ivory Coast friendly game).

I can see the headlines on the back page on monday morning "Henry Wrights Chelsea Off" as he scores a hatrick to beat Ian Wrights all time goal scoring record. Well it would be a great way to beat the record , against the current champions . Smile

I dont actually know what the score will be,coz it can be unpredictable with Chelsea and Arsenal.
But I do hope that Arsenal win because they have mentally and physically gotten better during pre-season.

Don't laugh, but I dreamt that Arsenal were 1-0 up at half time and Henry made it it 2-0 about half way through the second half. Then I woke up.
OK, you think I'm an idiot here, but rarely have I had these things happening, and they've been right before Wink
Don't know the final result though Confused

If you're a Gooner and are concerned about Vieira going you should look at or listen to the descripion of Alexander Song's game in the reserve game against Coventry the other day on Afc Online.
He appears to be a natural successor to Patric Very Happy
OK, only 17, but Pat was only 19, and look what HE did.

Even with Vieira, I don't think he'd be in charge of watching Duff, Robben & Drogba. Vieira works the center of the midfield and those players you mentioned, 2 are wingers and the other is a striker. So, to answer your question, the same Arsenal players that have marked those 3 in the past will be in cahrge of them Wink
