Saints bag Safri

Norwich City midfielder Youssef Safri has joined Southampton for an undisclosed fee.

Safri had been keen to quit Carrow Road and has been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion.

But the Morocco international has agreed a two-year contract to move to St Mary's after spending three seasons with Norwich.

George Burley has been a long-time fan of Safri and the Saints boss is happy to add the midfielder to his squad.

Not sure what to make of this deal he seems to have a really bad attitude with the way he has conducted himself in the past few weeks at norwich.

There is no question that on his day he can be a good player at this level but he doesnt seem to want to play all the time.

I hear that Norwich havent got that much for him either.

He is very experianced and is a good player and if it was not a lot they brought him for it seems a good deal.

Lousy attitude, late for training even missed the team photo! Peter Grant soon made it clear he had no future and Norwich were glad to offload him.
