yes every1 said b4 he played we know he is good going forward which he showed but he also showed he was our best defender out there and he wasnt even playing as a defender.

This season i think he will play as a left mid until we buy a left mid then he will go back to left back.

Team when fully fit:

Robbo

Chimbonda
Dawson
King
Lee

Lennon
Zokora
Jenas
Bale

Berbatov
Keane

Subs

Cerny
Rocha
Huddlestone
Taarabt
Bent or Defoe (whoever is looking freshest) probably bent since we paid so much for him.

I really rate defoe but i think his time might b up this season

But as you said jono bale looks really really gd and that 5 mil dont look so big now even if it goes up to 10. He put in some super crunching tackles and gave us width finnaly on the left, cant wait for lennon to b back malbranque is good but has no pace like lennon and bale.

p.s does anyone know when lennon and daws are back.

Yep with our squad at the moment he should be left mid for sure, im really preferring Hudd to Zok in the middle at the moment tho, looked so composed against Man U.

until he let nani spin him without even doing anything to stop him. then what happened no need to say but if huddlestone can imo become a fitter quicker player i'd pick him over zokora, but jenas still didnt impress me today the only game he played well in was derby, when he made the strong attacking run through midfield.

We need jenas to make those attacking runs through midfield because we have zokora and huddlestone as our defensive mids, we need an attacking mid whose strong and quick.

Imo jenas has those attributes hes strong quick when he wants to be he also can shoot pretty well some one just needs to tell him to get forward.

But you can see already the quality bale brings from set plays the way he picked out rocha was superb, better than jenas because lots of jenas' go in different directions alot of the time not consistent enough, huddlestone just hits them really wierd flat but with not much power and easy for defenders to pick up coz it doesnt have any curl on it. Bale to score against fulham

He thought nani was going to lay the ball off to SCholes (as did everyone else i think) and went to cover the pass/ginger and by the time the pass wasnt made nani had his shot in the air, cant blame Hudd too much for it.

Loved the fans signing to Giggs "Youre just a sh1t Gareth Bale, shiiiiit Gareth Bale!"

Same here. Huddlestone just seems to have that silky passing type play and composure as Carrick used to give us. He spreads the play well which is what i like to see.

And he allows JJ to play his natural game so much more than when he is playing with Zokora.

Yeah, i've noticed that aswell. It was visible in the Derby game throughout.

Honestly feel that Tom is good enough to have the team built around him!! We did the same with Hoddle and that is who he reminds me of the way he can spread the ball and unlock defences with a pass that others wont even try.I have been a season ticket holder at the Lane for donkeys years and the talent that we have there now is the best in decades, we have so many quality young players.

What do you think of the common criticism of Hudd that hes too slow to get around as needed in the Premiership?

Hi BJ

I think Hoddle was to slow too mate, agree he could move a bit faster and for the size of him could tackle a lot harder at times but I think he makes up for that with his passing ability. In the first two games we hardly created any chances and then against Derby and Man U we looked a different team and it made JJ look a different player too!! Also feel when Daws is back with Ledders they will fill some of them gaps at the back behind Tom, if that makes sense.

Gareth Bale will undergo an examination of his right foot under anaesthesia to determine the severity of his sprained ligament.

The Wales international was forced off with the injury in our fixture against Birmingham City and he is likely to be sidelined for at least three months as a result.

"Following a review of all the scans Gareth will now undergo an examination under anaesthesia to determine the damage sustained to the foot," said Sporting Director Damien Comolli.

"Even if the examination reveals that his foot is stable the decision has been taken to bring him back slowly to ensure he does not get a repeat of the injury or suffers any further damage.

"Gareth is obviously disappointed to be sidelined for this length of time but he is still young and we have to do what is best for him in the long-run."

Sad Sad Sad
