From the highlights i've seen:

- Milan were excellent, especially Pirlo, Inzaghi and Kaka. Di Maria was Benfica's best player. Katsouranis gave the assist for the consolation goal.
- Liverpool were p!ss-poor and had virtually no chances, while Porto was pretty good and should have won all 3 points.
- Marseille were lucky enough to go against a very bad Besiktas GK and scored twice to win their opener. Also, they were wearing the worst kits i've seen in the CL in a while (peach/light blue). They looked like fabric softener bottles.
- Olympiakos were better for most of the game (first 70 minutes), but Lazio were lucky enough to grab 1 point after a clearly offside goal (and almost got all 3 points when Pandev missed a geat chance).
- Shakhtar were phenomenal, while Celtic are lucky to have only allowed 2. I knew Shakhtar have built an impressive team these past 2 seasons, but i didn't expect them to be this good in the CL so early on, against an experience and in-form team like Celtic. Of course, like i said, Celtic were so bad they didn't exactly made it hard for Shakhtar.
- Real deserved the win and missed several chances. RVN assisted Raul and then Raul returned the favour in the second half. Higuain was surprisingly influential for Real, while Sneijder not so much. Werder's defence can only get better.
- Valencia put behind them their disappointing La Liga start and managed to beat Schalke away, with a goal by usual suspect David Villa. A very important result for them. Kuranyi in the first half and Lovenkrads at the end missed 2 great chances to score. Schalke probably deserved at least a draw, but tradition favoured Valencia (this is their 6th consecutive opening match win).
- Chelsea were obviously better than Rosenborg, but when a small team like that goes to Stamford Bridge and scores early on you can expect them to sit back and defend. Sheva had a good game and Chelsea hit the woodwork twice.

Milan's second goal was probably the best of the evening. Great teamwork from Kaka, Pirlo and Inzaghi.

I'm glad Raul scored, he's a CL legend. But i'm not happy that Shevchenko and Inzaghi scored, because those 3 are the top scores in CL history still playing.. And of course i want Raul to score more than them, because i love him!

He's in my FF team, so i'll get some points from his goal.

Milan did beautifully. For the love of God, please Dida, get back in form.

Saw highlights of Madrid match, damn Ruud is guud.

Chelsea looked weak. Good shot by Sheva

As for Liverpool. They were, as sticky would say, shite.

Raul is still the top scorer in the Champions League history. If I'm not wrong, Shevchenko and Van Nistelrooy are second and third.

I thought Inzaghi had scored more than Ruud.

Anyway, can anyone tell me how i can catch the Sevilla game? I've found it on sopcast, but it says it's showing the Sevilla game, but in fact it's the freaking Barca game!

I don't wanna watch boring bloody Barca!

Well, i'm not watching the game, unfortunately. I'm just looking at livescore and they list Messi as the scorer.
