And now here is the County vs United match-report (of sorts) courtesy of thejailender.com
Ross County were knocked out of the CIS League cup by Dundee Utd at Tannadice after loosing by two goal to one. But despite the disappointment of being knocked out of the cup the entire County team left Tannadice with their heads held high in the knowledge that they put in a terrific performance against a team two divisions higher – It just a shame that the fans don’t have the same opinion on referee Crawford Allen who ultimately cost Ross County the game with some inept refereeing. The scores were level at half time with neither team finding the back of the net, but the softest of penalty awards gave Utd the lead on the 64th minute. But County drew level with 13 minutes to go when Andrew Barrowman scrambled over a Derek Adams free kick from close range, but another poor refereeing decision two minute from time saw a handball by Dundee Utd go un punished in the build up to a goal which ultimately won the game.
