Alonso scored with a free-kick.

but I'm not satisfied with today's performance..
I think they could be better. Sad
It was not an easy victory....

(Though Zenden today was good!)

Thats a first, a Liverpool supporter not being happy with a win, take it as it is, as the season goes on, you will lose games that you know you shoulda won.

A Liverpool fan, friend of mine dropped, in earlier (just after the game finished).
He'd been out all day so I told him they won 1-0.
He said "Oh, it's back to that than is it?"

Mr. Twmcat, i have read your comments many times, i appreciate your views and commonsense, do you not agree that it is no longer good enough to the younger generation to win, they have to win spectacularly ???

Hey Ringo. I just love to see "the beautiful game" played beautifully Smile
I want to see excellent players come up through the ranks. But, after some performances by Arsenal over the last few seasons, I now want to see us do it with the "wow" factor.
We, at Afc had an excellent squad a few years ago, but, "one-nil to the Arsenal" was a chant.

I want us to play wonderful football so everyone can enjoy it. If you look arond this site, there are fans of other teams who enjoy our style.

We didn't win the prem last year, mainly due to bad defending. When this was eventually sorted, we started winning with style again. (Think Afc 7 Everton 0, although it didn't really count)

There have been many teams in the past who've played a bit of pretty stuff and got nowhere. We are doing it and getting somewhere.

I bet you'd like to see your team, if they have to lose, do so to a Thierry Henry run, beating 5 players or see him backheel it into the net, like he did against Norwich last season. Wink

I still remember a game I went to in october 1960.
Wolves 0 Spurs 4.
This was the game that Spurs set the longest winning start to a season - and I was there Very Happy
